If you’ve stowed away your outdoor furniture for the winter, you’ll want to be sure to give it a good cleaning. For wicker or wrought iron furniture, you can use warm water, mild soap, and a washcloth to clean. To clean your cushions, follow the manufacturer’s directions for washing and drying.
You’ll also want to clean your grill if you haven’t used it in a while. You can use a stainless steel brush to scrub the grates. Be sure that your propane tank is ready to go too.
If you have a deck, it might be time to reseal it. One way to see if your deck needs more sealant is to pour a small amount of water on some of the wood; if the water soaks in, then it’s time for a sealant. Be sure to sweep your deck before you apply sealant. Also, check the forecast and try to plan to seal your deck when there’s going to be a few rain-free days.
